    Thanks for the messages (and likes!), to answer: the wheels are 700c, the headset is French threaded, but the bottom bracket is English (no idea why) the rear dropout will accept a traditional threaded derailleur and clearances are wide.

    Sure! It's looking a bit rough, most of the C Record 1st gen is gone. It has B E initials stamped on the bracket - ex pro? The guy I bought this and the Gitane Lo Pro from said they were all ex team bikes. He had a Fignon 753 but that went for crazy money to a Japanese collector.
