    Rocky Mountain projects

Looks like some good projects to build up! I'm curious if that Fat City Flyer is from ~1984...I've seen the same frame listed online anywhere between 1983-1987, but no catalogues are posted before 1987 so It's hard to know what the correct dating are on those. Anyone have a pre 1987 Rocky...

    1980's Rocky Mountain Jersey

Re: Re: Nice embroidered jersey! I remember selling those at the shop in 97-98. I've got a few mid to late 90's jerseys as well, but not many of the early ones. I wasn't sure if I would end up with it this 80's one because it was lost in the mail for 2 months!...I'm not a fan of the ebay global...

    1980's Rocky Mountain Jersey

I was lucky to find this old Rocky Mountain jersey a few weeks ago and figured it would be best to share some photos :) I am not sure the exact year but I think it's between 1985-1988. What do you guys think? Has anyone else seen one like this? or own something similar?

    1991 Rocky Mountain Summit RL

Great bike! The Ritchey Logic parts add a nice touch! No too many bikes look good with white cable housing, but the Summit RL is an exception.

    1994 Rocky Mountain Altitude

Re: Re: Ya, I think the nickelite colour came in 95/96. I have a grey mag21 and a gold mag21 from 94 but it just didn't look right. I think the gold fork looks nice on yours with all the gold anodized raceface parts. Most of my parts on my builds are period correct, but once and a while I let a...

    1994 Rocky Mountain Altitude

The Altitude has always been one of my favourite Rocky Mountains. I've owned a couple in the past, but they were too big for me. Earlier this year I finally found one in my size, 18.5", so I'm looking forward to riding this one once it's built up! I got it from the rainy West Coast and the bike...

    1988 Rocky Mountain Avalanche

Thanks! They are original decals touched up with a black and blue Sharpie. :) Honestly, the paint was in pretty rough shape when I got the bike that I didn't care about getting permanent marker on the frame, so I experimented and coloured in the missing decals. On another bike I've tried...

    1989 Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt DL

It is next! :D I picked up a RS1 fork for it since I haven't found a rigid fillet brazed one yet. It is missing the air valves, but I did source some new valves caps from Risse Racing. So hopefully that will get the fork functional.

    1988 Rocky Mountain Avalanche

Re: Re: Thanks! Yes, 6 speed Deore it is. I've added it to the BoTM...my 1st entry. 8) Someone else listed a cool 1987 Thunderbolt in there too.

    1988 Rocky Mountain Avalanche

Re: Re: Thanks for the comments! It rides great! Handles quicker than I thought it would. Fun little bike! Cool that you have an 89 Avalanche! BTW, thanks for posting that info on the 86 Avalanche, I didn't know they made a custom fillet brazed one back then. I can't remember where I found...

    1988 Rocky Mountain Avalanche

Finished this one just in time for some nice Fall riding! :D Full Deore MT60 kit with original Ukai wheels and 105 headset. I managed to find some MKS MR-1000 pedals that were original spec and instead of a yellow Turbo saddle, I opted for a black Ritchey Logic saddle. Also was lucky to find...

does this belong to a RB member?

WOW! That 1992 NOS Blizzard is amazing! I hope it was sold complete and not parted out, that would be a shame. Having built up hundreds of Rocky's in the 90s myself, it's even cool seeing the original box it came in! Well, I was wrong about the 89 Blizzard posted in Quebec. It was not the same...

does this belong to a RB member?

The listing last August/September was on kijiji in Quebec, it was the same bike but it had a rear pannier rack, so I'm guessing it was flipped. Still, I think it's worth what you paid.

PeteC, awesome that you picked up this nice Blizzard! Amazing condition! The original tires are barely worn! I should have bought it when it was listed for $300 last month, but it was hard to tell the condition in the original listing, and the ad didn't last long...not that I need another, but...

    94 Rocky Blizzard

Cool seeing this Blizzard being built up again, and nice choice of parts! A bit of unusual history on it, I found this frame 3 years ago next to the trash bin...it had a Judy TT on it and it was missing the wheels but all the other parts were original and in good condition, including the RF...

    1988-1989 Rocky Mountain Blizzard Slope/Team - DONE P8

Re: 1988-1989 Rocky Mountain Blizzard Slope/Team Looks sharp! Based off the catalogues it looks like you've transformed you're 89 Blizzard into an 88 model. I was wondering why you always had 1988 in your title...now it makes sense. :) BTW, that's a nice wheelset! Very cool that you found a...
