A steel mystery koga miyata skyrunner?

Judging by all the details this look like a 1988 ValleyRunner to me. TerraRunner: nicer lugs RidgeRunner: nicer lugs, brazed crown forks

    1992 Peugeot Grisley Teamline

Very nice. A while ago I posted a review on this Peugeot: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/euro-encounter-dawes-pinarello-peugeot.388268/

    1993 Koga-Miyata TrailRunner-Carbolite

The 1992 TerraLiner-Carbolite was my first really nice bike in the early 90s. All black XT and Syncros equipment - very nice. I don't know where to find a fork for the TrailRunner. Best chance is finding a donor I think.

    Miyata Century

I would keep it as it is. You have an authentic original Miyata Century. It can be original only once. The frame can't be disassembled.

    1994 Koga-Miyata FullPro-S: the Max-tubing FullPro

Of four options available (page 1) I chose for Nitto Ultimate Ideal. The bike is almost finished.

A steel mystery koga miyata skyrunner?

I've seen it too. Very interesting. I don't know this issue.

Serotta MTB Identification - Real or Fake? 1995? 1998?

The braze on for guiding the cable on the seatbolt looks like different than the one on my old T-Max. I don't know whether there were design changes from year to year. It could be there weren't. It could also be there were subtle differences from frame tot frame. They were built by a craftsman...

    1993 Koga-Miyata TrailRunner-Carbolite

Thx for the kind words  All catalogues from 1974 onwards are available through the koga.com website. Not present is the 1993 supplement that came with the catalogue. It includes component specifications, geometry chart and sizing and pricing information. Below the table with component...

    1993 Koga-Miyata TrailRunner-Carbolite

This bike is used to some extent, but it is still nice. The former owner told me he rode to Switzerland once for example. Bikes parked away three decades ago and that are not touched in the meantime do exist. Most fresh bike I ever got my hands on is a 1980 FullPro-L. In general older Kogas do...

    1993 Koga-Miyata TrailRunner-Carbolite

That is orignal. In 1993 it was 'Miyata' for the downtube and 'Koga' on the seattube.

Serotta MTB Identification - Real or Fake? 1995? 1998?

The T-Max was offered in several years during the early nineties. It is not an of the shelve frame. Paintscheme on request. I think the paint is original, but I am not sure. It is a nice frame and worth an investment. I would check for rust in- and outside the seattube near the BB area. The...

    1993 Koga-Miyata TrailRunner-Carbolite

This is my 1993 Koga-Miyata TrailRunner-Carbolite I collected earlier this week. I already have a TrailRunner-Carbolite (since 1995), but this one is like how it was shown in the 1993 catalogue, except for tires. Examples like this I don't encounter often, so were happy to encounter this one...

Serotta MTB Identification - Real or Fake? 1995? 1998?

I had one. This looks like a T-Max indeed and it probably is one.

    1988 koga miyata ridgerunner

I have both the RidgeRunner and the ValleyRunner of the same year. The later has a welded fork. The RidgeRunner has a brazed fork. I think the 1989 RidgeRunner fork is the same.

    1988 koga miyata ridgerunner

This will make a nice project. Finding the original fork will be a challange. Possibly a nice upgrade would be a Tange Switchblades or similar.
