    Help ID old Brodie please?

Re: Today I picked up the sandblasted Catalyst frame from a firm in North Vancouver. I'm totally impressed with their service and price. Check out Westview Technologies on Harbour Avenue, North Van if you're looking Wish I had a fork to go with it though!

    1991 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

Re: Re: Cheers, RacerX. Glad the disco neon green hydraulics brakes came off, actually. I've always wanted to try them but it will have to wait. I need new lines if they are going on a bigger bike, too. Thank you Frank. I just might be in touch. I have some nos RM downtube but in orange, a...

    1991 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

Re: Where abouts are you, Blizz? I have a 20" Cirrus as well but it has no decals and has had a very rough life. I was going to investigate the possibility of having the whole frame acid etched and then anodized. Just dreaming, really. This one though, it's the only appropriate frame for my...

    1991 Rocky Mountain Cirrus

I swore I responded to this thread! Sorry guys, not my style to do that. I came back to post a new pic as I found some syncros bar ends (finally) a couple weeks ago and it renewed my interest in my "syncros bike". I pulled it out of storage and decided to give up on the magura brakes. I had a...

The RB what I bought/ found/scrounged this week thread pt.II

Yes really lucky to have been right place at the right time again! Thanks Stu. I've never heard of them and not much of an alum guy but no doubt is a welcomed addition to my Canadian barn! I'd love to get more eastern bikes but not many made it out here in the west and is a bit difficult

The RB what I bought/ found/scrounged this week thread pt.II

Totally! I'm trying to find a bit of info on it. I'm guessing the brand is Douglas and is made by Devinci. I've never seen a stem with water bottle mounts either. I'm going to throw some tires on it today and take some pics and ask around

The RB what I bought/ found/scrounged this week thread pt.II

Re: I found a late 80's made in Canada Devinci aluminum mountain bike. They were in the process of stripping the parts and recycling it...I bolted as much as I could back together. First stem I've had with water bottle cage mounts I can't find much in Google about this Douglas by Devinci

    All things Canadian.....

Re: I just finished a sweet build I'm super excited to have! I've been looking for some time to find a x-large hand-built Brodie I can ride and one came my way a few months ago. Some might recognize it, it's been posted here before. I started with this and finished with this. I found a...

Re: I love free/scavenged shit. I pulled a pair of brand new Tiogas 1.9 out of the recycle bin and just checked, they fit in the ubrake of the Toad! Now i can get rid of the tom slick tires on it and be in good shape for the next show n shine

    Help ID old Brodie please?

Thanks Raidan and IHateRain. Fb is pretty cool sometimes. I post a pic of this Brodie and smae questions, and then some key guys that were working at Brodie, Toxik Harald, Chris Cooney, and Paul Brodie himself, all comment under my pic. Tech is crazy cool. 25 years ago, I never would have...

    Help ID old Brodie please?

Harald said they only made Catalysts and Sovereigns during those years. Boy I wish someone would make a reference spreadsheet with a row listing the models and a column with the years that his various models came and went.

    Help ID old Brodie please?

A bit of an update. Today, I stripped the ole white Brodie down of it's rusted parts and got to the serial and it's B176 and Toxik has ID it as a 1990 or 91 Catalyst. I'll send some paypal beer money to Paul with the SN and get accurate info. It doesn't seem to be too rusted on the inside and...

Yeti History - A Photo Essay Series

Re: Re: Cheers Martin, great journalism and writing on your blog. Yes, I'm not sure what accounts for the lack of Lindwall credit in the great internet search? As far as I know history, Lindwall built Sweetheart frames and Parker came along and learned from them, bought frames/jigs/fixtures...

    Help ID old Brodie please?

thanks Roy! I haven't had any time for it, I'm afraid. I currently have a bike in the stand and tinkering with it at the moment and swore not to get distracted before it's finished :) . There's also a few things ahead of it as well so it has been hung up with the rest of "one day" bikes. I'm...
