    Hi I’ve been using this bike as a single speed. I’ve come across a local with a Benelux rear derailleur but the Claud Butler had a Simplex lever on the downtube. Will any derailleur bolt on to the frame dropouts? Thanks

    Yes, All numbers were on the steerer and the last 3 numbers were on the bottom bracket but very worn down and hard to read

    I had it down to the bare metal and coated to prevent rust returning. My spray can effort is not great so know but I think I’ll see if it is mechanically sound after I’ve added new bits first 👍

    Yes thanks, that’s what I was thinking but wasn’t too sure but the specs in the catalog agree. Just given it a respay with a close colour match. Waiting for some parts from EBay to get it moving as a single free speed soon.
