Marzocchi bombers can you lower them?

Re: You can lower pretty much any 30mm stanchion Marzocchi that has negative springs. Two ways to go about it, longer negative springs and shorter main springs. Or just stacking an extra pair of negative springs. At one point they sold Z-1 lowering kits, really just negative springs about...

BMX to MTB conversion, what a palaver! Can anyone help?

The Metalhead I had years ago had something similar, although I think the boomerang was custom made. I lost the boomerang at some point, but I still have the Mr Dirt upper guide it ran. You seem to have it sorted, but the ebay link I posted to the MRP adapter cups says they take a 68mm. I ran...

BMX to MTB conversion, what a palaver! Can anyone help?

What you seek was actually made by MRP, not sure if if was specifically for running a chain guide or what. They made an American BB converter that is flush across the face, and takes a 73mm english BB if I recall. They are raw/polished aluminum, so stand out from the others besides the lack of...

What did I buy / is this anything?

I have a Research Dynamics frame that is very similar in some ways. Especially the rear stays and the smooth transition to the drop outs.

    Marzocchi fork with 28mm stanchions?

Update to my own post here. Looks like Zokes forks maybe used 28mm seals. So not Marzocchi bomber exactly, but the low end stuff. Have never played with one so can't confirm, but seems likely.

    Marzocchi fork with 28mm stanchions?

Has Marzocchi ever made anything with 28mm stanchions? Just recently I've started seeing listings for 28mm Marzocchi seal sets. I always thought they jumped from the 26mm stanchions on the older forks to 30mm and they stayed that way till 2002 or something like that. Curious what fork these...

Help with Springs for a Z2

'99 they still had 30mm stanchions, so should be the same. I have a full size run of those springs for 65mm travel forks. Located in MA and could probably do better than the ebay price there if you're interested. The older ones were not quite so color coded as those, they had a plash of paint...

What happened to the RST steerer tubes?

In my case it's not the elusive 1" stuff I'm looking for, actually have some 1" steerers and the required shims. RST made the shims at one point, those are also identical to the proper Marzocchi part. Only have the one extra 1-1/8" threadless tube though. Well sort of, have a bunch that are...

What happened to the RST steerer tubes?

For awhile there you could find those RST steerer tubes all over the place, ebay and amazon as well as bike shops. Near perfect match for older Marzocchi tubes, I have a threadless one on a fork. They seem to have evaporated recently, not even any on ebay as far as I can tell. You still see...

Can anyone identify this Derailleur Cable Aid?

It's a VIVO gritlock cable seal. Not much from google besides this: https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/956656/ Little bit of information on the company: http://www.disraeligears.co.uk/Site/Viv ... leurs.html

Bomber 30 mm Seals - various Types?? Differences?

Re: It's the opposite from what I've seen, taller dust seal is for newer forks, short one is the older style. All the original bolt together cnc arch forks I have here have the shorter dust seal that says Marzocchi and a part number. The dust boots interface correctly with the shorter seal...

White Brothers rock solid v-brake mounts?

Re: I certainly could be recalling the wrong brand of fork. At least one of them had accessory brake mounts available. The brake mounts I have seem to measure more like 36mm, or possibly 38mm without the friction tape they have lining the inside of the clamp.

White Brothers rock solid v-brake mounts?

I came across a pile of bolt on canti/v-brake mounts, presumably for rigid carbon forks. Can anyone with a White Brothers rock solid fork tell me the diameter of the carbon legs? Just trying to figure out what they might fit. Could also be one of the other brands that sold the same fork...

    Marzocchi rebuilding weirdness

I spent a couple days soaked in fork oil rebuilding varous Z-1 and Z-2 forks for myself and others, left with a couple questions. Was it recommended to smear slick honey or grease on the foot nuts to help them seal better or something? Two different forks had grease all over the foot nuts and...

26" stock trials frame/fork or bike for V-brakes in USA

Looking for an semi old school 26" stock trials frame/fork or bike. Something like an old Planet X Zebdi, Cannondale Ashton, hell even a beast of the east. Anything 26" with rim brakes and a high bottom bracket. Located in the USA so hopefully something stateside and just frame/fork to keep...

Wtb velociraptor tyres were there reissues

Re: In the US they made them up till very recently, many places stocked them as basic replacement tires. It's possible they are discontinued now that 26" is getting axed across the board, no new tires or rims really except stuff for dirt jumping bikes.

XT M750 V-brake and brake boosters in the US

I seem to have found a brake caliper, need to mount it and make sure it doesn't have the Shimano V-brake looseness issues. Still looking for a couple brake boosters.

XT M750 V-brake and brake boosters in the US

One caliper as is one wheel worth or one complete brake, not one side of one caliper. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

XT M750 V-brake and brake boosters in the US

Looking for one Shimano XT M750 V-brake caliper, the second generation slightly chunky overbuilt kind. Just need the one caliper, don't even need any of the bolts, pads or noodle. They show up on ebay pretty often, but always seem super beat up or crazy over priced. Also looking to complete...

Shimano stm567 lx shifters common or not

I have found them to be pretty easy to get, if you're willing to pay approx $70usd they are almost always available on ebay NOS. Found most of mine locally in the US though. I'm a fan of that specific model, slightly different lever shape than most Shimano levers in a good way. Also have the...
