Gone to charity. Such bikes actually worth nothing in current market!

Thanks! I'd spend a day or two and a few quid first, but yes with all the new/recent parts it should be good for many miles!

Any interest in a winter hack or parts thereof? Runs and stops but would benefit from some further servicing. New tyres, NOS wheels, recent cassette and chainset. Should do a winter without any care and attention! Ideally, hubs need regreasing and rear mech needs replacing complete with a hanger...

BoTM BoTM November 2023 - Rider Special - time to vote

I'm not aware of any "rules" on this nor of any "etiquette". Personally I stick to general comments/numbers, rather than "x gets my vote" but IMO it's down to individual choice.

The opposite for me! They are all "older" bicycles, being used for what they were invented and intended, by people who appreciate them and the simplicity they represent. Increasingly those other >70s who pass me (and occasionally who I pass!) are electrified. And I feel quite smug! I NEED 30...

oldave's 1993 Kona Lava Dome. "Just a bike." Done 1,750 (35%) of my 4,542 miles YTD. Amuses me that combined bike and rider age a mathematically neat 105 years!

I know nothing about clip-in SPDs having never used them, but these seem to be in fair condition. My best guess is 2003? I've given them a clean with a stiff brush but I think would come up better. The rocking bit (!) moves freely. £25 incl UK postage? If this is fantasy money, please tell me!)

So, encouragement to enter a BIKE OTM with unrideable but period tyres. IMO that renders it Work-of-art OTM. Not a bike.

    My bikes.

I have long considered "good ol' 41-30" as good if not better than the more exalted frame materials in terms of that subjective and elusive characteristic of "comfortable"!
