    It’s a Granite strap mount thingy to carry a toolbag or spare tube. I had some spare stainless button heads to affix to the bottle cage mounts. It hasn’t been used yet…probably should remove it. https://granite-design.com/products/portaledge

    Exceptional - the steel frame is compliant and comfortable though a little short from seat to bars. The 1x drivetrain shifts fast and seamlessly. My favorite bike by a long shot.

    That's a fantastic frame. I'm shocked no one picked it up yet. It hurts my heart that it may become anything less than a bicycle again. Someone wise up and collect it!

    I’m inclined to say that your frame is an earlier model due the rear brake cable stay on the seat tube. That is for cantilevers, implying that the frame is mid 90’s. What the serial number on the dropout?
