    Sorted Small frame

Thanks lgf, looks nice but I think too big for a 12 year old who isn't tall for his age.

    Sorted Small frame

Thanks, size wise they look about right I think. I have a small frame I've remembered I have to trial for size tomorrow. Its v brake and I'm ideally looking for disc friendly.

    Sorted Small frame

Looking for a small frame to build a bike around for my 12 year old. I can do 26 inch as I have plenty of bits, likewise for 29er if non boost. Could also do 27.5er boost, but would also need wheels which would need to be bolt through 15mm front as have forks, rear would need to fit frame. A...

Sorted Nice rigid fork (1 1/8, ahead, 410mm a-c length)

What steerer length do you need? Disc or v? Assuming v based on year. I've got a nice set of carbon forks with a standard style crown/retro style that I was going to use on a ti build but it may be getting bounce up front as it's for my youngest and he wants suspension. Well he probably wants a...

    1996 RTS-3 Decals

If you've got them, use them is my opinion. If you don't like them, you can always remove them. Once it's all been painted and decaled, it will look factory fresh only once. Well twice if you count when it was new. I'm going to fit the warning decals to my trs once I decide how to paint it, or...

Is it acceptable to mix cable outer colours?

Funny you should say that, I've only ever mixed black and xtr grey.

Is it acceptable to mix cable outer colours?

    Yes, but tastefully.

Who is this cool little fella on my new blue GT RTS rocker link? Who makes this part?

I've no clue what to offer money wise, but can offer it a very good home. It would either go on my keeper team rts, which has a number of blue bits so it would tie in nicely and persuade me to fit the risse shock I have on that. Or it would find a home on my other us built RTS. It might actually...

Do Avid v-brake pads work on.....

Yes. Things only get a bit strange when you are trying to fit v pads and canti pads in the respective holders. I'm sure there must be exceptions, I mean the industry has constantly been trying to come up with proprietary bits to make you have to buy from the oe brand, but I think they left v...

Who is this cool little fella on my new blue GT RTS rocker link? Who makes this part?

I'd be interested if you do, it will be going to a good home, my RTS which is my keeper/forever bike. Regret selling many a thing, worst probably a set of lawwill leader 3 forks that I'd had serviced by Meet Lawwill himself, but didn't ever use. Judy FSX which I'd converted to air with a no's...

    Noleen crosslink shock alternatives?

I have a nice fork, I know that risse do a shock for the fork but recently saw a fork for sale with a fox air shock that looked fairly standard. Does anyone know what alternative shocks might fit the fork? If so, which, and what modifications might be needed? Lastly, if an air shock will make a...

Who is this cool little fella on my new blue GT RTS rocker link? Who makes this part?

I'd be interested in the dimensions to see how it compares with the standard one. If it improves the RTS (and imo it's already a great bike from bitd), then maybe something worth trying to replicate.

I have an m950 rear hub for sale if that's of interest?

Help with fork & wheels comparability pls

If you are looking for a hope hub in 20mm axle size, I have one in black. You'd need to rebuild the wheel of course so might be easier to find a wheel or set of wheels and swap out the front axle adapters to 20mm ones.

    Shimano crank arm refurb

I think you'll struggle to refurb those cranks to factory. Not sure how they were finished to start with though. I think the m750 cranks have the removable spider, I might have a tidy set of these crank arms which might be a simpler option then refinish.

    Ringle stem

Are you talking about the top cap and bolt that screws into the star nut? You can use any, though some fit better than others on stems. You could use one like a hope head doctor, FSA connix etc which don't require a star nut in the fork steerer tube.
