I have an urge not to stop - even at red lights.....

#darwinawards I am still very aware that 100% of the worlds population are idiots at some point or another. Myself included. When I'm not being an idiot I'm very aware of all vehicles. Watch out for those idiots and try not to be one yourself and you won't die.

Wanted 1-1/4 Answer A-tac Quil stem 120mm or less w/rise Black

Appreciate you looking, but for this build it needs to be a short high rise a-tac. I've got a 135mm zero degree rise and it's just a tad long and low

Help me Identify this Diamondback Topanga

Well have fun with it, if your feet hit the front wheel when turning or your knees hit the bars often you'll want to size up. But should be a good bike to at very least get back to pedaling. That's the important part

Help me Identify this Diamondback Topanga

Fix what's broke, wouldn't bother upgrading as it'll roll just fine. Looks like an mid 90's small frame. I hope you're short! But for $15 it's a steal. If it's to small you can always sell and get something that fits.

    Titanium mtb frame identification

Strangely enough the later Ti Sport frames apparently don't have that stamp. I ran into another guy with a very similar frame, TST/Ti Sport. Same situation, no MADE IN USA stamp.

    Removing stubborn crown race

Penetrating oil. Hammer & punch. If you're trying to save the race, a nice squarely cut piece of hardwood can keep the damage to a minimum.

    Wrong time to sell?

Selling right now is a struggle, especially compared to the Covid market. That being said, I've had good luck (eventually) in the local market for some things. High end parts have been selling well, forks, meh, frames, meh. I'd look into what you're trying to get for the bike & what individual...

    Headset question

44mm standard head tube designed with external bottom cup for taper steerer compatiblity and zero stack top cup for minimal stack height. Would leave me to believe you'll need a 44zs/44ec headset, potentially with a 1.5-1-1/8" reducer crown race if you're running a straight 1-1/8"...

Does anyone know where I can buy a decent Shimano rear brake with 1500mm hose?

C'mon you can do it! Funnel bleed kit Shimano fluid Syringe Razor knife. Install the new hose, confirm length, mark & cut. Install barb, slide on rubber boot, metal nut & olive. Prep syringe, remove air, oil to the tip. Connect to caliper (pads removed, block in) bleed until oil comes out end...

Is this a real CK headset ?

Pull back the snap ring & black seals, that'll tell you if it's a CK or not. No one does bearings like CK. Also looks like white lithium grease was used last time.... get that stuff out of there, probably dried toothpaste by now.

    2000 Kona Score Titanium

Finally found a way to get some decent wheels on this. My Bianchi has had a set of CK disc hubs w/snowflake wheels. Not a very sensible choice front and rear, but that's the way I got them, ave they're still going strong after who knows how many years. Found a non disc set for the Bianchi, so...
