Lugged frame builders in the UK

If they were really 32 man hours at 500 quid that's £15 a man hour. That's not a lot for a skilled fabricator, and that's not allowing for any of the costs of the materials, premises, employers NI etc etc etc. It's no wonder they couldn't attract any new staff at that, the old boys must have...

    y2k - 2, 3 triangles, 3Al / 2.5 V

black and dark grey components with titanium always works. No flash, but people who know, know. Might be the stealthiest way to ride a high end bike.

I don't get why some people don't get ebikes.

Those bikes are all identical and presumably the result of a failed hire business. 250 watts is plenty. That's as much as someone who's taken riding pretty seriously for a decent time. 500 watts is 'world class professional rider' territory, I'd think it reasonable to allow this for cargo...

    Off-centre bottom bracket?? How come?

Old school loose ball bottom brackets often had asymmetric axles. More modern cartridge ones generally dont. some way round i suspect this is the cause.

you could try a product called Gummi-Pflege. It's intended for softening the rubber seals you get in car doors etc. No guarantees.

Chas Roberts bike identification help needed please.

definitely has the feel of an audax bike about it. Pop up some pictures of the other side and the laser-eyed campag fanatics here will have it all identified before you've had time to click refresh.

    Wanted silver 5-arm compact chainsets - SRAM/FSA?

Thanks but I'm trying to avoid Shimano. I don't like the 'rounded over' axle bit. And the bike has campag so it'd just feel wrong.

    Wanted silver 5-arm compact chainsets - SRAM/FSA?

i've looked at them but it's not as easy as it was to get a decent square taper BB these days - the bike has one at the mo but it's a campag ISO taper.
