Is an Overbury's Pioneer suitable for dirt drops?

Thanks for the dims - I’ll try and knock up a basic drawing next week.

Is an Overbury's Pioneer suitable for dirt drops?

That was my thought/concern as well.

Is an Overbury's Pioneer suitable for dirt drops?

I thought there might be something in the archives on the geometry/sizes etc but I couldn’t find anything. Does such a document exist?

Is an Overbury's Pioneer suitable for dirt drops?

Getting the drops high enough without the end result looking shite and/or unridable seems to be the challenge. Going to have to make some drawings…

Is an Overbury's Pioneer suitable for dirt drops?

Maybe I need to research the stem options more thoroughly. Could you go with a slightly bigger frame than you’d usually take?

Is an Overbury's Pioneer suitable for dirt drops?

I’ve been incubating an idea for a while and I like the idea of using an Overbury’s but that’s only because I grew up around the corner from the shop. I guess finding the “right” steel frame for drops is probably more important.

I know people have done it but how well do they ride?

    Wanted Huge ferrule

Finally figured it out. BITD the boss on the frame could be used for either a hydraulic or if you used the big ferrule, cable operated brakes.

    Wanted Huge ferrule

There are no dimensions and no stock but these look right; https://cannondaleexperts.com/collections/frame-cable-guides-stops/products/cannondale-evo-synapse-headtube-brake-cable-housing-guide-set-of-2-kp224

    Wanted Huge ferrule

The ID of the cable stop on the frame (a 2002 Cannondale Silk Adventure) is 7.78mm. The OD of the ferrule is 7.52mm and that has an ID of 6.28mm.

    Wanted Huge ferrule

Working on a new project and the cable guides are huge. The only ferrule that fits is this thing but I’ve only got one… Any idea who makes them as I’m not getting many hits on the web?

Wanted Suntour XCII bear trap pedals

I wish I hadn't sold my old ones but... Looking for a "nice" pair that aren't too scratched/scuffed, which is a common occurrence if you drop your bike on it's side. Apologies in advance if I'm a bit picky...;)

Thinking of using these and a set of XC bear traps. None of that newfangled SPD stuff for this early 90’s build😉
