Nice job done. Really nice bike. Also so some splended details, the welded pump-"head" for example. I love the Universal brakes, but please place ther stradles the other way arouynd as they should be. Really one for the RBotM.

1976 Caballero (Jan Janssen) Replica of the teambike of the '60-'70 Caballero team in The Netherlands at that time. The team hadn't a material sponsor. The riders did buy their own bikes (which were payed by the team) which were resprayed into the team colours.

They are for sale, and not only expensive Campaganolo. I bought them in the past for my ALAN's.

I agree. Can recall that I wanted to buy this or a Koga Miyata at that time. By the way, the front fork is chromed, which is not the case on the one in the (Dutch) folder.

I know Gazelle in Holland did that for a really short period in between the two sorts of mounting bottlecages. But they were from a other shape than these here.

Modern outer cables are builded otherwise. More to the exact use of it. The treads are in length instead of rounded up by cirkels so to speak as the old ones were. You need even a special kind of tool to cut them to the right size. This difference is because of the more precise type of indexing...

If I lived in the neighboorhood I would swap the Campagnolo's for some 1970 Mafacs levers, which I have. :D But indeed, Mafac and Universal '60/'70 brakes are awesom. [/img]

I did last week open an old Shimano freewheel which was still on the axle. As I didn't have the right tool to remove it. I removed the whole inner bits and removed the body so to speak. And I managed (with some help of a book) to complete the freewheel afterwards again with all the tiny parts...

Nice bike, one for the rBoTM. Campagnolo OK, but please keep those Universal brakes. So nice... Even nicer and more original to this bike as even old Campagnolo record ones. :D

Sometimes a new crankbolt is sufficient.
