thanks for that, I've had HTII on my modern bikes for a while and get on really well with it. It's for a singlespeed project so I can keep the rings as spares and fit a single ring/bash combo.

I've just removed the BB from my 95 spesh hardrock and I'm hoping to putting something newer in there. What are my options? Is it even possible to fit a modern HTII style BB, or is that crazy talk? :oops: Thanks

thanks, that's what I thought would be the case. The middle ring is a 34T, I'll try that first and see how I get on but will probably result in me spinning out often. Any idea what the chainset is I'd be looking for? cheers

Hello! Newbie here, I've just aquired my old spesh rockhopper (94ish) that I gave to my mate years ago. Planning on converting it to singlespeed for commute duties. I'll no doubt be asking for advice when things go wrong!
