FS '94 Kona Lava Dome 18"

Would look so much better if you lost the bar ends and stuck a flite on, then it would easily make the money to the right buyer. Very nice bike though.

    1985 GT TIMBERLINE

Like that GT lots. Funny though, I think the GT designers must have had something against joining the seat stays to the seat tube! These ones are hanging right off the back, then they decided on the triple triangle. Non-conformists? Looks a lots like an 80s BMX with the shot through top tube...

Dusty shop find, 94 or 95 ? (Kilauea content)

Hope this helps, nice bike there. Think there are a few Race light/Shock mix ups out there dont think they where too fussy with the stickers some times. They may well be the original forks supplied with the bike. taken from the '95 evans catalogue.

Best way to run Vs on Canti Kona frames

Its a 19", so biggish i suppose. You can get it looking quite tidy though. The only thing that annoys me slightly is that the cable is not as close to the top tube as it should be near the dog collar. Only a minor niggle though!

Best way to run Vs on Canti Kona frames

All seems complicated and a bit ugly that nokon look. A kona deserves something tidy and sleek. Helps if you have a lathe to turn the little brass widget though!! simplicity is the key, heres mine....

    why no 95/96 kona catalogues?

yeah found that one now, just didn't see it in the main cataloge section, and I still think konaretro need to get their fingers out and get them on there!!

    why no 95/96 kona catalogues?

Cool I'll get on it asap. The catalogue scans are just the ones form the evans cat, but they are just as good and they have all the specs which is easier to read than in the real kona book. Better get scanning then.

    why no 95/96 kona catalogues?

Like the title says, why are these not on the net?? either on here or kona retro maybe I just missed them? They are the best years, well I thinks so! i've got the evans catalogues from these years which have the pictures taken frome the kona publication. Should put the original 95 explosif...

Kona Kilauea complete bike £325 BIN

Nah, too orange, too new and the whole thing just looks a bit rubbish to be honest! For that money you could gat an amazing '95 with the classic square serif graphics and P2s in a nice subtle colour. Dont waste your money, there's credit crunch you know!!??

    Hope hub failures anyone??

Ok might give them a go again then. I flogged the old hub on ebay years ago! Someone probably got a bargain there and blagged a new one from hope, oh well. Would really like one of the very old ones again, the click on them was ridiculous, especially when teamed with an ally frame, no need...

    Hope hub failures anyone??

I was thinking about buying some old hope hubs, around the 95/96 vintage as thats what I used to have BITD. But then I had a flash back to what happened to my old ti-glide..when was riding, I peddled I managed to rip a couple of spokes out of the drive side flange, the alloy just completely...

    M-Trax 600

Ha, been waiting for one of these to turn up. I had the 400 model, in a sparkley black with flouro yellow decals. It had a shiney dyna tech/special products division sticker down the bottom of the seat tube and as a 16 yr old, I used to convince myself (and mates) that it was one! Must admit...

You probably wont get any of the elastomers to move in this cold weather! Some nice springs or full inards replacement might be a good plan.
