I just completed my maiden ride on a GT Zaskar with a 3D fork we converted to threadless and lengthened using Rody's youtube video as a guide. Came out great and now the bike handles great with the correct fork. We used a old Trek showa 1" steer tube as a doner insert and it was press fit...

Those are exactly what I need , yet the final price will be what I have in my whole bike :cry: I a set with a 6" steerer I will trade for a set that fit's a 20" frame...

Not sure about Kona's spec but a non setback post is going to put your weight and position in relation to the BB to far forward if that frame was not designed around it. JMO.....

Here is my new (to me) Zaskar , serial number says 06-92 but I have not seen any 92's with this color , does this color look familiar to anybody for a 92 Zaskar? It's a 20"

I think you are right, it appears to be only 35mm of rake. Couple that with 430mm of axle-to-crown and is going to slow down a non suspension corrected frame quite a bit. I'm thinking a rigid fork and a fat tire will probably be more fun. It might be OK on a frame a few years newer that allowed...

I just bought a bike that has a Manitou three on it . Are these any good? Does anybody know what rake-offset they have?

No expert here , but the Boise frame is a 20" as the seatube dimensions are identical to a 20" Zaskar that is stamped 20" on the L stay.
