probably not , its spesh after all it will be a cheaper copy hence the own branding
i think its just ordinary 4130

Sticker say's " Prestige", so yes would be my answer. I own the same bike, it has the same subtle ride quality as my Prestige MB-1 . Nice specimen!

Does 'Direct Drive' not relate more to frame design issues than tubing?

My M2 has direct drive decals and is certainly not Tange prestige!

You have the M2 stickers on the frame, too... and that's about tubing. I think, the "prestige" below the Direct drive says sg about the tubing, too. But I'm not sure.

Spesh stuff

I have a rockhopper, which has direct drive decals, but is not Tange Prestige, nor does it mention Prestige on any decal

Yours does, so I plump for it being Tange Prestige.

Probably worth dropping the forks out and reading the steerer too

I had a Tioga T-Bone stem, that just said 'Prestige OS' but said in the blurb in the box that it was Tange Prestige

The M2 is a term for that Metal Matrix tubing I think... My old stumpy said the same

My new old Stumpy Team is Tange Prestige

I'll scrutinise the forks, but I'd like to keep them.

I'd like to use the bike as a training MTB, but I want to ride it on races, sometimes.
