Pace, Hope, Kona, Thomson - breaking an Explosif!

Re: Pics of the frame with all dimensions and the seat post showing the mark on the rear. As can be seen it is only the paint/anodising as the machining marks are untouched.

Pace, Hope, Kona, Thomson - breaking an Explosif!

I'll measure up tonight. I can throw in the QR for free with that lot so that would be: RC36 Forks, wheels, QR, Mono M4 with disc for £200. As you're in Brighton it may be easier for.me.to deliver it as I think the whole lot will be difficult to post. Steve.

Hope XC Ti rear hub, Hope front on MT19

Good evening, Just found these in the garage and can't imagine I'll need them any time soon. Red Hope XC 32 hole rear hub with Titanium freewheel body. Used condition (was built up on an XC717 for about 15 years before the rim cracked) as can be seen in the pictures. A solid hub with a great...

Hope Pro II with Ti free hub

Good evening all, I was hanging on to my old red Hope Pro II rear hub for a future build but then life got in the way! It was purchased new in ~2000 and built into a Mavic XC317 rim which I only recently took apart. Decent bearings and no damage just the usual fade. I will post some pictures...

Some advice on 'done' deals & deposits please

If your version of events is accurate (who am I to know otherwise?) then it's entirely fair to keep the deposit as this was clearly explained and agreed upon. Some people go through life thinking that the world owes them a favour......

    anodizing removal ?

It's possible with sand paper but difficult to get every little bit off, especially in the welds etc. without damaging the surface and smoothing off parts that shouldn't be! Ideally it would be acid dipped to remove the outer oxide layer and then either re-anodised or left bare for polishing...

Raising bars by an inch or two advice

Re: How about a set of riser bars? Typically they won't fit through single bolt stem clamps like you have but sometimes they can be persuaded, especially if the stem is steel (and a bit more resilient to bending a little!)

    freehub funny clicky question

Re: I stripped my Hope Pro II rear hub recently as per the diagram above. Was a piece of cake and works better now after a good greasing. They certainly sound different to shimano freewheels (louder for sure) so as long as it's good inside don't worry.
