Building my dream Giant MCM2

Re:

The old Parkpre has a small rust hole at the back of the frame. I don't think it's worth saving as it's so old. Can't decide. I've got an emotional attachment to it lol. The Pace forks were something I added a few years back, they were not standard on the bike.

Re:

I will snap some photos later when I get home. It had surface rust all over it so I have started sanding it down which was when I found the hole and decided to look for a new project to ride around on.

Re:

Finished the bike this afternoon and took it for a Test ride (my first) the bike rode perfect first time. Really pleased with it, Fits me perfect, very comfortable, very fast and a great climber. Any suggestions for upgrades? I need to weigh the bike but it feels very light. It genuinely rides like new.

Re: Fixing up a Giant MCM2

Bar ends with riser bars just look so wrong ;)

Great otherwise and if it rides great and your happy with it why change anything.

Re: Fixing up a Giant MCM2

I agree with Minifreak sorry about the bar ends but it just looks wrong a bit like putting a suit on for a wedding then wearing a pair of tatty white trainers with it as for weight well unless your a weight weenie and the bike feels right why worry ,,

Re:

I can't decide if I should stick with V brakes for the weight saving or upgrade to Magura hydraulic V Brakes. Which should I choose?
