Folding bicycle preferably a raleigh twenty

Re: The rack is aluminium, the bike not so bad. Let me send you some pics so you can gauge condition. I live near Stourbridge but shall be going north to see my son in Sale on the 17th July. Hence could deliver maybe? I'll suggest a price when I've had a better look at it if that's OK. Graham

Help with some vintage shoes please

I saw some really nice ones being made for Ian Alexander (based in Derby) when I attended Kidderminster Cycle Jumble. I think they were about £70 but don't quote me. He can be reached at ialexand&tiscali.co.uk. Please substitute "@" for the "&" when sending an email to him. They compared well to...

    Shimano Selecta Chainset/BB

I'll have to take some - but there's not a lot to see without dismantling the set. There are pics here: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/kuromezina2002/32188774.html It's quite amusing to get Yahoo to translate it.

    Shimano Selecta Chainset/BB

I think I'll keep it on the bike. You occasionally see bits on Ebay and it's not difficult to change if it plays up. I doubt I'll generate enough muscle power to bend anything and it's different. Graham

    Shimano Selecta Chainset/BB

Hi, I'm asking whether to keep the Selecta system (I don't think you can have the chainset without the BB) on the bike in order to use it. Or, since it was soon phased out, is it a bad system which should be consigned to a box in my loft? Graham

    Shimano Selecta Chainset/BB

I have a Selecta chainset and BB on a bike I'm doing up. It won't get really hard use, when finished. The BB seems to work OK at the moment. I am wondering whether to junk it or keep it on for posterity. I'm inclined towards keeping it at the moment. Can anyone offer any advice on the wisdom of...

my self extracting bolt is tearing apart the threading .....

Re: my self extracting bolt is tearing apart the threading . I've freed ally bits off steel using a hot air paint stripper. Make a shield to keep it off the paint. Torque up the extractor and heat till it pops.

Can anyone identify this bike? Falcon of some sort.

My 1974 or 5 Olympic has decals on the chain stays with "Olympic designed by Ernie Clements" on them. It also has the wrap around seat stays and 531 frame tubes. For some reason mine doesn't have chrome on the lower part of the forks. It does have mudguards though.
