    1991 VITUS CL 1

Very nice. Love Vitus. And unlike Rod I do like zoom. Always thought they were pretty much the lightest bits you could find at a great price. And they never failed on me.

    Can't sleep... (Vitus)

Thanks all for your responses. Really liked the scan magas. Certainly an interesting choice the syncros on a bonded frame. Have seen a control tech stem somewhere too that looked awesome, but think I'll go with a classic cinelli stem. As for the frame falling apart I'm not too worried in the...

Yeah noticed that to too. But figured I'd rather take a look at it myself, than run the risk of the seller bending it (or worse...). To be honoust I'm not to worried about the weight, but have heard very good things about the Suntour group. We'll see. It'll probably become a mixture of parts...

    Can't sleep... (Vitus)

Thanks again for your responses. Have to agree that campagnolo is a bit romantic for the industrial looking vitus. DA 7400 would suit I guess, but I never liked the group (except for the cranks). Really like mavic, but the price is putting me off. Suntour could be a good thing. Magas: Scans are...

    Can't sleep... (Vitus)

Hi Hova, Fantastic colour isn't it? I considered Mektronic, but that stuff is so hard to come by these days. And certainly pricey for a full groupset. But way ahead of its time. I'm leaning towards Sachs New Success for the moment, but could change my mind in 5 minutes.... :D Look forward to...

    Can't sleep... (Vitus)

Thanks, like I said. This has been a dream bike of mine for a long time. Got to sleep finally at 2 o'clock. Way too late with my daughter getting up at 6.30 this morning.... Good thing the coffee machine isn't far away.

    Can't sleep... (Vitus)

Bought this frame on the bay tonight: http://www.ebay.de/itm/VITUS-992-VINTAG ... 45fda91b2e Has been one of my dream bikes for years and now I have one in my size. I'm stoked. But now I'm lying awake thinking how to build it up. Have ridden Campagnolo for years and am thinking of trying...

    What Were Those Things Called...

Not sure waht they're called, or if they're still available. But if you just make a loop with a piece of durable fabric or leather around your hub it'll do the trick.

    Wear your helmet...??

Cheers Tintin. I'm on your side. I've had people tell me twice this year to wear a helmet. an't they mind their own f&%¤#*ng business. There is no law telling me I should, so why should you??? I do wear a helmet on my mtb (most days) and always when cycling in groups. Also, in Australia you...
