What would you do: team bike or replica?

My mistake. Thought we were talking about the boss himself.... But I do understand that you're not that interested in the bike. Funny thing with preferences though. I wouldn't want to be seen on a Motorola bike, but I'd love a Festina one... Guess that says more about me than anything else.

Fair enough, but he was a great fighter on the bike, also after his suspension.

What would you do: team bike or replica?

Hi Pigman (great name btw, Seinfeld reference?) Just loved that these guys were the dirt of the cycling world. Sat out their sentences, came back and did really well. Shows character to say the least. As for 2nd point, you are totally right that it could be a number of riders. Since its in the...

    Mountain biking movies...

I like the 3 movies from the 'collective' (http://www.thecollectivefilm.com/), where Roam is my clear favorite. Another stunning film/docu is 'Ride the Divide'.

What would you do: team bike or replica?

I think we have to realise that most guys around that time were doing the same thing. Some of them have just been complete jerks about it, and come out as bigger losers in the end. As a result I love guys like Virenque and Vino. But can't stand the man were talking about here. That makes that...

Retro looking saddle which is comfy

Retro looking I'd say Rolls or Regal. My current (modern) favorite is the Fizik Aliante. Will try the Versus version soon. Very comfy on longer rides. But its very personal. I've been very tempted to try one of these: http://www.spacycles.co.uk/products.php ... 0s204p2668 If anyone has...

    The saddle lottery

Started out with Rolls saddles, which were always good. Then went on to use a few Flites, but never really got along with those. Tried a Prolongo Scratch pro, which was ok, but not 100% on long rides. Now I use Fizik Aliante, which i think is the best modern saddle for me. But it needs to be...

Opinions/experience with Quando hubs? Relacing prices?

I got a rear wheel from a friend when my old one gave up. The Quando hub worked fine for a few years and hasn't given up yet. Its a bit heavy I believe, but nothing unusual for its price. Runs a bit gritty now, but so would a deore hub after the same abuse. I agree with the previous post...

Excess body fat. No idea where it comes from seems to grow by itself. :)

    Shimano Handlebars???

Think they're trying to keep the competition happy (whilst maintaining market dominance). Believe they said once they could make racing bikes as good as any manufacturer, but were afraid other manufacturers would switch to other components if they started competing in their segment. Probably...

road stem on a mountain bike

In my experience they will do fine, as long as you're not using anything super light. This goes for xc riding. Wouldn't try it on a downhill bike though.

    Lymes disease 90% got it.

Looks like it could be a bite from a tick, so it could be lyme. If it's been a tick the purple rings should be expanding (if that makes sense). Proper GP should be able to tell you whether it is or not. Best not to take chances and get on the pills. This is not something you want to mess with.
