The material/type of alloy, the location of the crack, the weld prep, the welding itself, and the post weld treatment. Yours looks quite severe. If I was doing it, I'd want to replace...

    This is my predicament; Perfect if I had chainstay routing but I don't and reluctant to go full length outer with cable ties Or; Workable cable routing-wise but chain fouls. Will try a bit of bending I reckon.
