    Dawes kickback magnum

Re: Strip down rebuild, everything cleaned, fixed the gears, new cables, trued the wheels and changed the tyres as they were cracked. Finally sanded down and two coats of white primer followed by two coats of golden yellow from Halfords. Now it’s like a new bike once again and with its...

    Dawes kickback magnum

Just picked up another bike to restore, it’s a Dawes Kickback Magnum with a REYNOLDS 501 Magnum lugged frame, cost me all of 10 quid. Any idea of when this was made?

    GT Bravado Build

Re: Thanks, the tyres are really comfy and grip really well. The test ride this morning was quite reassuring, the ride was tight, I noticed very little sway at the bottom bracket which normally indicates a good frame. Really nice ride and surprisingly comfy! Its a keeper!

    GT Bravado Build

Re: That’s a very nice Bravado in blue, looks like a 98 model with Reynolds 631 oversized tubing from what I can make out, from the serial number on mine it’s a 1997 starts with S7 where I believe “S” is the factory and “7” is 1997. The steel on this bike gives a really nice high pitched...
