Yep! You need the longer drop caliper, I had the same issue with my Peugeot Paris-Nice. I think i've got a Shimano 600 caliper in the garage somewhere, I'll take a look tomorrow and let you know.

Try Mercian in Derby for Campagnolo spares/repairs. I took my Veloce ergolevers in for servicing and when i went to pick them up they showed me some better levers off a scrap pair that I could replace mine with for a few quid. Chuffed result. Give 'em a call, you never know what they can come...

Thanks for the replies. Hi Nob, i follow your bike ventures on the TT forum. this morning I looked into whether powder coating might provide a more durable finish but wondered about the curing temperature affect on the rims. Something else to investigate. Thanks guys.

Over the past few years I've gradually renovated my 1995 Langdale Lightweight 653, I've had it resprayed by Mercian though I've not used the original Langdale font for the frame transfers. I preferred some other font. The bike is equipped with Record 9 speed Ergolevers with Chorus F & R mechs...
