Re: I own a TVT 92 in Helvetia colours and I think part is painted and part of it is not. In the last photo the seat tube and stays are painted, but the top tube not. I think it is a tinted topcoat or maybe the resin in the carbonfiber is tinted. The Pinarello TVT is awesome. Looks like the one...

    Are all aheadstems hideous?

I think tall stems with a single bolt at the front suit classic frames quite well.

'93 Geliano - please shed some light on this obscurity!

Re: I think that the cranks, seatpost and bottle holder paint is really nicely executed and definitely not a "let's use the spare paint" job. Nice bike but with low end components. 300 seems expensive to me. Interesting if it was cheaper. Orbea had frames with similar geometry, used by pro...

    Hi....from Scotland

Re: Welcome to Retrobike! Peugeots are a nice reasonably priced choice. I am Spanish but was at the Uni in Scotland back in 1997, of course with my bike. Lots of nice small roads around Dundee, south trough Fife or north to the Sidlaws.

Dual pivot brake on an old bolt through frame

I did it with two front brakes. Needed to buy a longer recessed nut for the fork, the one that came with the brake engaged very few threads.

    Razesa, nearly 4 years on..

Nice Razesa. I like they frames, classy and well built. They were very common in the 80´s and 90`s here in Spain. I just bought one Razesa frame today. NOS from the 80`s. Deep blue cromovelato (Razesa called it velo cromo). 531 tubing.

Does anyone ride Retro and Modern?

I can tell you that my '85 RIH with Reynolds 531 is more confortable than my 2008 carbon Lapierre. Even though my Lapierre is the "confortable" one, there was another frame (Francaise des Jeux replica) that was supossed to be more stiff.
