which campag group for my masterlight?

im fairly sure im actually going to go 11sp. ive seen a masterlight in the same colour scheme and the black actually looks better than silver. yes and no, sram red is great on a cx-1 or EPS, they are pure flat out weapons and red works with them. doesnt go on a masterlight though.

which campag group for my masterlight?

fairly sure i have decided. I'm so poor atm i have weeks to keep churning it over though, no doubt ill change my mind 7 or 8 times before then:p I'm going to get wheels/tyres next, but theyll probably arrive before the frame. then groupo. and ill do the controls properly overtime as i get...

which campag group for my masterlight?

alright more qs! First option: the grouppo on the donor bike is roughly '06, alloy cranks, Ti/carbon rest, fairly sure its not ultratorque. If i can at all, i can buy the complete bike for probably around $2.5k (AUD) and i could easily make half of that back. BUT this is all dependent on my...

which campag group for my masterlight?

thanks for moving the thread! no pictures, as no parts as yet. I have to wait for the frame to be built/sent to me in aus. im also in debt already, so this may take a while:p I may be able to get hold of a little used record 10sp group that's currently sitting on my girlfriends' dads' bike...

which campag group for my masterlight?

build is now full custom. complete was too much for what it was, went frameset only. now thinking an older record groupset (10 speed). record hubs/tubbys. good. :D

which campag group for my masterlight?

that is what i am swaying towards. only problem with it is thats its not actually a "build" as such if i go the campy route, its just an off the shelf bike. ill have to sink more money and customize it :D depending on wait time for the frame i hope to have pictures up soon.

which campag group for my masterlight?

new question! sram is out of the question. 1. used 10 speed record with alloy crankset. 2. new 10 speed record with carbon ultratorque 3. new record 11 speed. 1 = cheapest, no warranty, used:( 2 = middle price, but i don't get warranty or anything. 3 probably most expensive, bling...

1994 kona hahanna, to build or not to build??

im a fair noob too, so i wont comment on the kona for fear of making an ass of my self. with the wheel strightening, it is not especially difficult and can be done well with a little practice, look up wheelbuilding/trueing on google and there will be countless articles to get you started...

    Sometimes Retro is better....

agreed. my p7 is a hunk of s***. the front wheel doesnt spin more then a few rounds the headset is notchy, the stem/handlebar combo creaks, the brake levers are crap and its got one gear. but its probably my most fun bike, im more comfortable cornering on it at speed then i am with my $8k...

    Show me your single speeds!
