    Japanese SR Tange Aero tube DA AX Build

    I purchase this Tange Aero tubed frame off ebay a little bit ago. Then i went a bit overboard. Shiny NOS Bits Shiny not NOS bits. Rear hub is in good enough nick for this, the front is a bit meh, so im going to replace it.

    it rides great! something about 2 inches of air at 30psi is awesome. do it, it can be done quite cheaply and they are great.

    ok lots of questions:O Rear hub is 117mm old. rear hub is a sturmey xrd3 http://www.sturmey-archer.com/products/hubs/cid/3/id/14 yep, 100mm. frame was ~ 115mm, so the hub just went in, i didnt cold set it or anything. Donor frame was a 1930s malvern star frame, frame is heavy as all hell...

    bike now has a 3sp sturmey archer thumbshifter as opposed to the ugly grip shit. loooks muuuuch better.

    not quite done, need specific cable for the thumb shifter (been ordered) and when thats all good and installed either brooks leather tape or their lock on grip type things. (and it looks in better proportion in real life)

    yeah, stars are being done, the frame is definitely not completely finished. i thought about leaving it alone, but whats the point in a bike that cant be ridden? (the wheels were gone, and were some obscure early 20th century size so replacement tyres would be impossible to find. if not...
