    GT Xizang frame - 16"/18"

Yeah, the dent is minor. The scratches, easily fixed and not horrible. The finish in general was really well taken care of and the decals look mint. price is a bit steep. should be closer to 500 ATMO. Good luck with it.

    WTD: Mavic 500 / 550 RD front hub 28h

They are super easy to service. they made a specific tool to fit into all the pins on the dust seal. But you can use a red park pin spanner if you're careful. Pop the clip on the axle nut. pull the dust seal and then loosen the axle nut. axle comes out and you can get at the bearings...

    8 speed chains.....

@jg Any 8 speed chain will work. Obviously the better chains have advantages the cheaper ones don't. BUT, if you don't care about it being an 8 speed chain, use a 9 speed chain. I have been "one upping" chains for years. They work exceptionally well They last longer, are quieter, shift...

Rock Shox 700c Paris Roubaix Suspension Forks

Some say so. But we know now that Rominger was heavily juiced during those years, and Duc and certain others were on the down swing of their racing days. So i think it was a combination of factors. I equate it to the Lebron effect. LeBron is consider the "King" of the NBA, but he came at a...

Rock Shox 700c Paris Roubaix Suspension Forks

Well actually it is common place on mountain bikes. And they(Bianchi) did use it on a mountain bike in the 90's. It's a functional frame. The failure of that particular frame was for design/manufacturing reasons-tubing being to thin. The whole failure of road suspension in general after...

How much Wild? what is the steerer length?
  18. S

KESTREL MXZ OWNERS! BB axle length please.

Yeah. If you put the longer on it will push the chain out too far and will cause the chain to rub the inside of the dropout/stay.

    1991 Specialized Stumpjumper Epic Ultimate

It's ti lugs with carbon tubes. They did do a steel lugs with carbon tubes version as well. Epic Ultimate was crazy back in the early 90's. it was a Unicorn as someone else said. This is back when the Evil S wasn't evil and had some kick ass functional products. Now, it's all marketing...
