    Re: Re: Yes, the original rigid fork that the bike came with. Frame is 969 Racelite double butted. Not the lightest in my stable but the geo, numbers, and overall feeling, one of my favourites. As many others have said it before: very underatted those steel Univegas from the mid 90's!

    If this helps, my 1995 Univega Alpina 507 has a 1 inch steerer ahead fork labelled Formula 1.3/0.7 and a-c length is 395-400mm.

Your request at was about steel frames, so unless you're after the TC3 full suspended frame, or the glued/bonded composite/alu lugs 8900, in 1992 steel Trek range, the 970 was along with the 990 the flagship steel frame. 970 and 990 shared exactly the same frame in 1992. Good...

    Re: 1992 Schwinn Paramount SDG series frameset - Waterford built Afaik, the Team frame is full Prestige tubing and the lower spec Series 70 and RS60 are Prestige three main tubes, with tapered 4130 cr-mo stays. I was curious about the difference in weight.
