Wow, thanks for all that! I had no idea it was that difficult!! When I bought it I had to get the silver because the nickel were all out of stock and I couldn't wait for them to come in! Spose I'd need a pretty big bath to get it in! I'll let you know what I decide to do in the end. Thanks.

Has anyone ever tried to take a painted P7 frame and given it the nickel finish that they used to offer from the factory? How hard can it be? Is it not just a clear coat over the bare metal? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Well Treacle, all mine are missing is the damper screw assembly and the top out bung (included in the picture below the forks from my other set (that are not for sale)) so if you had those bits, Tc could make up a complete set.

This is them dismantled. Like I said they are in good nick, shiny legs and intact carbon. Elastomers are present and not brittle, never had them on a bike so don't know what they feel like to ride on. The only things missing are the damper screw assembly at the bottom below the carbon legs in...

I'll stick some picks up when I get back in a bit if I can work out how.

Exactly! Long stem, RC35's, spd's, bar ends, I've got the lot. I think a lot of these people are asked for a piece for the mag and just pick something to be cool about. I could do that: Tyres! What are they all about?

I've got some of those things!! 1 1/4 threadless RC35's, good nick but missing damper screw assembly. If you can get a crown, steerer and damper screws for them, they'll be ideal!!.

I have at least 12 of those on my bike and I love being not cool!
