My Catalogue Cannondale Track - big pics!

Here's my Bontrager..... What a handsome chap! I've also got a couple of custom built road bikes - a Pat Rohan and a Chas Roberts - and a ridiculously small 21" Orange Clockwork. I'll see if I can get a pic or two.

6' 7" here too. Having bars that low would kill my back!!

    Biggest frame ever?

    I'm feeling under-endowed at only 6' 7". But that's a different story!

    80's Chas Roberts

Thats lovely! My 80's Roberts has a similar scheme only in pearl white and mauve. It seemed right at the time.

    19?? Pat Rohan, First Project

Sorry for the delay. I've had a good look all over and I can't find any frame numbers whatsoever. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help. The gold decal example you posted earlier is spot-on for my mid-eighties frame - when Rohan were still using the same headbadge that you showed in your...

1989 TVT Lemond World Champ replica. No.54 of 300 made

I wish I hadn't binned my SSC rear mech. Truly a piece of bike art. The rest of the bike is pretty tasty as well. ;)

    1990'ish Buzz Lo-Pro

That's lovely. I may be showing my age but that's what a TT bike should look like

    19?? Pat Rohan, First Project

Nice! Brings back memories for me - my road bike is a Ron Thomas-built Pat Rohan bought back in (I think) 1985. A mix of 531 tubings - what later became known as Designer Select - and as sweet as the proverbial nut. Ron was a cracking bloke with a wicked sense of humour and I spent many...

Pink bar tape - yes or no?

My Roberts road bike from the mid-eighties was sprayed a fetching metallic mauve blush over pearl white and sported.............yep, fluoro pink Bennotto tape. I thought it was waaaaaaay cool BITD. And I stand by that today. Kind of.

    Retro Ronde van Vlaanderen foreplay

The Ronde was always a highlight of my cycling year; hanging off a tree halfway up the Koppenberg, the tour coach getting stuck on the narrow roads and, of course, belgian beer. I was there in the year Jesper Skibby nearly got run over by the official's car after falling off at the base of...

    Raleigh Team Replica Mid 80s

That's sweet! Spent many £s in Whiskers in my time. A real Alladins cave of loveliness.

    Old Campagnolo Tool

Can I join the club too? Had mine for 28 years together with the crank puller, crank bolt spanner and bottom bracket / cone tools as well. These babies were certainly built to last! :D

    trendy london type bike

Oh yes! I once got a blister the size of Bristol on my finger from my Hope mechanical disc brake (don't ask!). Whether it's a practical solution or will catch on I don't know but I applaud the lateral thinking (cue someone coming up with an example from 1832....)

1985 ALAN Campagnolo Super Record/Shimano Dura Ace Road Bike

What a stunner! You've got my vote if you enter it in the next BOTM. Whatever it's worth, it's not enough to sell such a beaut. Keep it, ride it, even fondle it (I know I would  ) but, above all, love it. Thanks for posting!!!!!
