    ** Whyte PRST-4 **

    ** Whyte PRST-4 **

Thanks, one day I'll actually finish it and get the rest of the orange stripes on it. That tower of spacers is in fact just one spacer, much needed because at full compression, there's not a lot of clearance in between the top of the forks and the bars; If you ever do that carbon version...

    Velofrog

What a thoroughly decent chap. Swapped my surplus Whyte PRST-4 frame set (well, three of them is definitely one to many) for his USE SUB fork and wheels that I have no idea what to do with. It looks bloody marvellous though...

    ** Whyte PRST-4 **

The looks are somewhat challenging, but the ride is little short of amazing. It's not perfect, and does require a different riding style to riding with telescopic forks, but it's very rewarding. Modern shocks transform it though, and go a long way to dialling out the complaints people had about...

    ** Whyte PRST-4 **

Looking good Mike, The list of people who run 24" wheels at the front include Adrian Ward, who designed it with Jon Whyte, so there must be something in it. But I'm quite happy with the way that a more modern platform damped shocks give a little more control over the front end without it...

mazda 6, anyone owned or own one?

Re: Only the iron block 2.0 in the 9-5 was a Saab engine, and that was derived from the canted four originally found under the bonnet of the Triumph dolomite. The 9-3 got the GM power plant. That said, they're very good cars, and since they went bust, very cheap cars.

mazda 6, anyone owned or own one?

MPS is exciting AND reliable, but it's saloon only. You can't even drop the rear seats because of the chassis braces, and the boot floor is higher than normal saloons because it's got the differential from an RX8 under it. I'd look at Vauxhall Insignias. I hate vauxhalls, but I am forced to...

mazda 6, anyone owned or own one?

Had one, Hated it. The most boring car I've ever had. Boring to look at, be in, drive.. A true "white goods" vehicle. Just an utterly tedious four wheeled box with all the charisma and desireability of a fridge. That said, it didn't go wrong.

wanted Whyte prst-1 frame or comleet bike

Hi Cor, First of all, what size do you want? Secondly, do you specifically want a PRST-1, or would you also consider the JW-2, or the later PRST-4 & JW-4 frames?

mazda 6, anyone owned or own one?

I've had a couple of Mazda's, and I'd happily have another. First one was an '07 Mazda 6. This was the 2.3 turbo petrol 4x4 "MPS" version. I miss this car more than any other I've ever owned. It was fast. Very very fast. It handled like a sports car, and it was utterly reliable. In the five...

    ** X-LITE L168 and ANGELO stems **

Re: Nope, but one of them does reside in my shed ;) The PRST is an extremely compelling bike, so much so that I seem to have accumulated three PRST-4's, including velofrogs old frame which is now painted in Gulf Racing colours, and a very unusual and presumably rare example of a PRST-4 frame...

Need some help picking a paint job...

I like the old grey too, but since my plan is to keep one frame in original colours, I wanted to do something a bit different with the other one. I was after some ideas and feedback since every re sprayed PRST I've seen has been utterly gopping. It seems that this is a very hard frame to make...

Need some help picking a paint job...

Re: Re: Damn, it does a bit... Hopefully in the correct shades though, it wouldn't be quite such a stark similarity. Yeti used a particularly vibrant yellow, where gulf used a tangerine orange with the pale blue.

2000 Mount Vision rear disc mount

If you search for it, you'll find a drawing for the Whyte PRST-1 brake adapter on-line. The real parts are rarer than rocking horse dung, but they're easy to replicate, and also fit marins from the same era.

Need some help picking a paint job...

Re: Re: I've already got one blue bike, but that does look very nice... There's nothing wrong with the shape that a total lack of appreciation for aesthetics won't cure... The powdercoater I use is a bit anal about proper masking, so there's no worries there. I like that colour...

Need some help picking a paint job...

I'm stumped. I've got a frame dismantled, stripped, and ready for the powdercoaters. Only problem? I've no idea whatsoever what colour or colours to paint it... So, I thought I'd turn to the sages at RB for an opinion... The frame in question is this one; I've got two of these frames, and...

** IBIS TRANNY ** the story ends.......

Re: ** IBIS TRANNY - ROAD WHEELS 9/5 ** I like crank bros wheels, got 2 pairs of them now. I've got some spare CB adapters somewhere, I'll dig them out and see which ones they are...
