Thanks Hamster, though I suspect they’re the same (or basically the same) as the Marin Pro Combos that we’re already attached to my Eldridge. I think they’re the standard Palisades tyre.

Looks like the Marin saddle on my Eldridge is the wrong one. It’s a bit chunky, and looks like the Palisades original saddle. Have a look here: The correct saddle is a little more svelte (though no Flite!). Anyone got one in good condition, or even know the Velo model number? Here’s the link...

I’ve got an old (but reasonable nick) Dart, just need a matching skinwall/amberwall Panaracer Smoke to go with it. A folder, ideally. Failing that, a set of decent Marin Rockstar tyres from 92/93 would suit my Eldridge Grade. Cheers.

The original Kalloy made Marin Lite seatpost for my Eldridge Grade is scratched to feck. So, looking for a NOS or excellent condition one to replace it. Doesn’t have to be Marin branded — I’ve got transfers ready to go!

My Eldridge Grade chainset was like that (see photos in sig). A gentle brush with some degreaser called Gunk (yes, really) did the trick. It really cuts through the grease, but isn’t abrasive, so works really well on old bike parts. I just use one of my daughter’s old poster paint brushes. A...

RC100 all the way, I reckon. You'll see a load of amazing RC100 restorations on here if you need inspiration. I love a bit of provenance based patina though! The Bear Valley and Stumpy are nice old bikes as well. Worth giving them a bit of love, even if you prefer motor doping these days...
