Being a naturally cautious type - and having a Vitus Seven - I would do a fair bit of research (eg: http://www.anodizing.org/index.html) before doing anything with the finish. All my bike sees is Autosol Anodized Aluminium Polish (no link to the company). Best wishes Laurie

Hi The Seven is spaced at 130mm, along with other more obvious differences from the 979. I don't know when the frame dates from, but was told it was built late 90s, which probably explains the increased rear triangle width. Best FL
