    I can get automotive spray paint from work so budget isnt really a problem The forks are orange which im not a fan of so i was thinking a respray in either white with new black decals or black with new red decals.. any thoughts?? :wink:

    ok so ive just picked up a set of 1995 marzocchi EXR 105mm dual air/oil forks for my giant but there looking a bit tired with rub marks chips etc.. and not being a fan of orange anyway ive decided to give them a spruise up and paint them black. so what paint would be best? should i laquer...

    cheers for your help mate... i rang local bike shop (as helpful as a chocolate teapot) spoke to the guys at chain reaction who were kind enough to point me in wind ways direction (uk distibutor for marzocchi) so a quick phone call has sorted me a v brake boss kit for my exact forks £20...

    XLITE TRIMNELL STEM, POLISHED RISER BARS.

    "GUTTED" just seen these forks and ran to the shed to measure my steerer and had the have been 190mm+ i would of had them :cry: :cry: anyway free sunny morning bump for you mate :wink:

    I been told my frame was designed to use an E-type mech which is bb mounted but as ive just had a new un52 fitted i didnt want to buy another bb plus the horrible chunky metal mounting bracket looks cack :wink: ive got some water hose clamps which are roughly the width of the clamp so mite...

    I had a 34.9 XT mech from my previous build but didnt realise till the other day mech's could be shimmed and so i sold it a few weeks back :? ive ordered a 31.8 from crc, as im only taking up 1.8mm slack what do u suggest to use as a shim (plastic,rubber,tape) ??? cheers mike :D

    havnt ran a front mech since i built up the giant so once i get chance i'll drop the chain on the granny ring and see if i get the same problems in 2nd :?

    my tube is 34.9 at the top but where the mech fits its taperd to approx 30mm, im gonna get a 31.4 and shim it if i have too what do u think??

    GT LTS seatpost size help....

    dude try taking the post out and hold a tape measure across the top of your seat tube should be able to get within 0.5mm of what u need and i would think the seat clamp will take up 0.5mm of slack. worth a try :wink:

    im not sure as it looks like the rest but then they all could be worn i suppose. yes 2nd biggest cog. i dont mind buying a new chain and cassette but wanna make sure that is the problem 1st. hanger looks straight too :?
