If you have no luck with geniune replacement parts, you could always try Weldtite replacement axles. They're usually standard lengths either solid or QR types, and cost something around a fiver (I think).

If you're running aheadset in inch and an eighth, the world is pretty much your oyster as far as modern fork choice is concerned. Best stick to 60-80mm travel though given the geometry of the frame. Maybe a racey Marzocchi or one of those DT Swiss (reliable Pace) forks would suit, if you're...
