Might get two thins and a fat and try this out at some stage. CRC are real competitive on price but the reviews and ratings aren't that great, as I'm a bit green I find them very useful and Wiggle is good on this.

I'm needing some XC tyres for a sunn urge un 999, XC517 rims, I've been running slicks on it for a few years and I'm thinking about going off road and need some tyres within a very tight budget. It came with Hutchinson Pythons but they are long gone and way beyond my budget as a replacement...

Someone started a thread around the end of December, start of January with a link to a shop who still had a range of rims which included mavic XC517's etc which they were selling cheap. I remember a few people had bought rims and posted in the thread. Does anybody remember the thread or...

strange one, could possibly be due to a fault in the link that was made worse by freezing temperatures, ie, steel becomes more brittle at freezing temperatures, so the link just let go :?

I've been told recently that it's best not to powder coat over pitted plating as it can rust underneath, bubble and then flake off, it is best done on a frame that has been cleaned properly, ie, blasted :!:

My Sunn Urge Un 999 :D I bought this bike in 2001/2 and I have not changed it much from standard specification apart from the seat, pedals & tyres. I've used it mainly on the road but did some light off road when I had the Hutchinson Python tyres on. I think its a great wee bike...
