That's my bike!
Thanks for posting this - would be nice if it went to someone on here who would be able to restore to former glory. Will be sad to see it go, but just no space to keep it!
Am thinking of parting with this to make space for something else, if you are interested:

Edited to add: it's an 18 inch.
yagamuffin - maybe I am being thick, but I have NO idea what a 'fat bum lady seat' is.. those landrover elastomers look hopeful though. Let me know how you get on.
Anyone know of a source for replacement shocks, or replacements for the flexstem?
The replacement I bought for the rear was supposed to fit but doesn't.
Fair enough, you can't argue with that!
My memory isn't what it used to be these days, but am fairly sure I bought the bike in tail end of 1990. Which would make sense if it was one of the first on sale in Autumn of that year.
That's probably right.
Are you sure it's a 1991? I thought the last number of the Proflex product names corresponded to the year it was made - like a 753 is from 1993..
Yes, my other half has given me ultimatum on shed space though.. It may be a choice between keeping the Proflex and a 2011 full susser I have my eye on! Decisions!
It's weird seeing a photo of another 750 - have never seen another in the flesh. Wonder how many are still going...
Retrobikeguy - Yes, you're right about the stem. All the photos I have ever seen of others always have silver alloy quill - don't know why mine is steel.
Only theory is that I bought the bike almost as soon as they became available, was told by dealer it was one of first in country - maybe...
Thought I'd post a few pics of the bike I bought with paper round earnings over 20 years ago.. I rode it like hell for a couple of years, then went off to University and since 1994 it's basically sat unloved in my mum's shed. Once I bought my own house she put her foot down and made me take it...
Kingroom - we're practically neighbours! I am in Shepherd's Bush.
Love the ride from Putney along the river towards Richmond and beyond. Well up for that of an evening, with a well earned beer at the end.
Likewise on the retro rig. My only retro bike is a 1990 Offroad Proflex that I have...
Hello
New to this forum, but looking for some bike buddies / ride partners - I live in Shepherds Bush, W12.
See this thread is a couple of months old, but wondered if anything had come of the idea..?
Well up for some riding if anyone else is!
Ed
Er.. how much?
Hello, my mum has finally lost her rag and has made me move this old bike out of her shed. This was my pride and job about 20 years ago - still good nick but not riden in over a decade.. Don't even really want much money for it just breaks my heart the idea of putting in a skip...
