    Looks great :D be following this for sure, nice job on the setapost, did you paint the top and cradles? campoldy sell the top bolts for them individually i changed mine and it really made a difference what colour are you going for ?

    Heh heh, don’t know to much about the old place I think it was more towards the city centre? Not actually had any frames done there myself, I found it when I was restoring some 1950’s wire chairs and they enamelled them for me, done quite a few furniture jobs for me over the years now...

    Thanks :D Hi Ned, yes C&G finishes, Had another look at the bike this morning, i definitely think it was designed for 700c wheels and canti brakes the clearences are close on the seatstay bridge and the chainstays, I dont think you could mount a caliper to the bridge its low and quite thin

    Thanks gents Yes i agree the differences in clearances are noticeable (two fingers at the rear approx one and half at the front :lol:) , it did jump at me when i first got it home, there are some very unusual things on the bike as ned mentioned the forks are round track style, the bike...

    more parts arrived :D Levers and hoods, went for campags in the end, should have gone for mafac levers (match the brakes) but not keen on the look of the 60's ones, hoods should be the globe logo but couldnt stretch to the £90 :shock: so went for later shield logo ones instead...

    Re-anodising a Pace frame???

    sorry to hijack the thread :oops: I had a stem stripped and re-anodised finish came out matt, didnt do any prep as such they just stripped thE old black off and anodised it in black again, Do you have to mirror polish it prior to having it anodised to get that nice "glossy" finish?

    Thanks errol :D saddle and bars arrived yesterday Was a toss up between a red leather unicator or the brooks, went for the brooks in the end as I really like this colour when it has mellowed with age plus it really shows of the seatpost which i think is a great looking design...

    Thanks ned, got a few more bits arriving this week hopefully start bolting a few of them on :D Asked on an american forum one guy thinks they may be nickel plated steel, and that they were unpolished when they were plated hence the dull finish, Might take a ride up to my local chrome...
