how comes ridgeback & muddy fox are now budget bikes? when i started riding in 86/87 they were top makes with high spec components like the 603 ridgeback in the freewheel catalogue which had full xt throughout. why didnt they exploit the market when mtb were just taking off? now there just crap

mtb sport i think its gotta be cool, like in the early nineties when it got bigger exposure, it opened the sport to a wider audience & thats gotta be good. any way i think roadies are hijacking this vote! if it was the other way round, id be buggered if id vote for the leg shaving tarmac huggers

mombat is a top site, what they dont know about bikes isnt really worth knowing. i think its safe to say the yanks know plenty about fat tyre flyers! after all where would we be without kelly, breeze & fisher :wink:

klein they are cool, there are a lot of other bikes id like to own instead, but for those of us buying M.B.A, 2 decades ago they were one of the most lusted after bikes out there, especially with those spray jobs. its just become fashionable to slag them off, not my style but still cool :wink:

ive always lusted after a nice small manitou hardtail frame but whenever you see them for sale the seller always says its about to self destruct due to various cracks & perhaps it would make a nice wall decoration instead! i know they wasnt built to hang on walls, so why is this :?
