    90s Sintesi Hantrax FS, Pace/ Hope/ Middleburn

Reluctantly, I am selling my Sintesi XC bike as my physio has recommended that cycling is not great for my hip. I built this bike with bits off Retrobike and Pink Bike, with the odd eBay and new bit thrown in. It's a mix of old and modern bits but I love it. For a heavy full sus bike it's...

Vintage Tamiya Audi Quattro RC car

Hi all, I have a vintage (circa 1983) Tamiya Audi Quattro 1/12 RC car, which is taking up space and not being used. It is fully built, working and very retro - I'm quite sad to see it go. Spec is: 58036 Audi Quattro, rebuilt chassis. 540 spec NOS Tamiya motor New roll bar, bumper, tyres...

98 Sintesi Hantrax FRS - fully rebuilt Hope/ RC36 etc

Hi all, sadly I need to part with my Sintesi as an injury and impending other projects force my hand. I built this from a frame off eBay, with bits almost entirely off here. It's in lovely nick, apart from a couple of scratches and wear marks on the anodising. It has a loose top rear bush (which...

Are you scared of your Mrs?

Does nobody on here use the "it's a legacy for the kids" line? Even my dad uses it to pacify my mum when yet another car turns up on the lawn - "they're for the grandson". He even got the death of the lawn (due to transmission fluid) attributed to my pregnant SO, mother didn't bat an eyelid :?

My Sintesi - built entirely with bits off Retrobike!

It's a '98 I believe. Thanks for the comments, I'm thinking maybe butterscotch Psychos and silver rims for it? It's at my LBS having the brakes bled, then it's game on to prove my lack of fitness!

My Sintesi - built entirely with bits off Retrobike!

The pedals came from Xizang - I used a pair of new cages I found and rebuilt the bearings and cleaned them up. Weight? Dunno, I'll weigh it when the rain stops. Thanks for the comments guys, I like it. Just got to get the brakes bled and gears adjusted and I'm off.

My Sintesi - built entirely with bits off Retrobike!

Hey all, Well it's been a while coming, but my first build is virtually done now and I'm quite proud. Ok, so it's not the best, most retro or most bling, but it is my first time so please go easy! I bought the Sintesi frame off Ebay for £40, I am a sucker for nice ally welding and this is...

Tips and links for setting up groupset on a new build?

Hmmm, in that case I think my chain is too long... I'll do some more reading, but I didn't want to begin from a point that was wrong to start with. If you see what I mean. I found some Youtube videos too: Gear adjustment Rear mech adjustment Front mech adjustment Another rear...

Tips and links for setting up groupset on a new build?

Hi all, apologies for n00b (and possible non-retro) content... :) I have got to the point with my build that I am ready to adjust the gears etc properly, but I'm a bit lost as to where to begin: 1. I am concerned that the chain is too long, and the rear mech cage (long cage) isn't...

    KLF - The Manual (paperback)

Re: Jury's till out I bought 45 last year, and I was quite impressed - it's very abstract but I think he has realised that he likes capitalism, and there's some backtracking in there... Have you read The Manual? It's really very good. honest. I have a copy if you fancy a read :D...

    KLF - The Manual (paperback)

Limited appeal, but there are a few of 'a certain age' on here... :) I have an original 1988 copy of "The Manual" by KLF (Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty), in excellent condition. Still has the HMV price tag of £5.95 on the back. The book was meant as a step-by-step guide to getting a number 1...

    Frame/ bike for t'wife

Hi all, My other half wants me to build her a bike (oh go on then, if I must  ). Must be cheap, and she's only 5'3" ish so I'm guessing a 15 or 16" frame. Oh and she wants it green or polished (gotta love form over function :? ).
