Just thought I would pass this along. Hey guys Just got a preview of the February 2007 Mountain Bike Action magazine which features a couple of our older bikes that RC took pictures of while attending Crossroads '06. Check out the scans at Looks like the vintage...

    Wouldnt it be good....

Their words would speak a thousand pictures. Anyone remember or ever participate in the old Bicycle Science email list a few years ago? Sheldon Brown ran it. Questions had to be serious technical or they were rejected. Some of the posters I remember were: Keith Bontrager, Gary Klein, Jobst...

Quick Q about Mag 21-ish pumps?

I recently sold mine to someone in Italy. The opening on the needle is on the end and not on the side like a basketball needle. Does it matter, I am not sure. ??? Thunderchild

    mrazek

I admit it. I like E-stays. I own a 92 all aluminum Alien and had a Cro-mo Ariel that I broke on Porcupine Rim in Moab. I have been looking at the Mrazek frame for my next project. Probably not retro yet even though they have been around a few years. Nice E-stays. Anyone on the list have...

    COOLWALL: Are bar-ends cool?

Cool? Useful...YES! I climb better with them and my hurting left wrist likes it when I rest my left hand there on occasion. Thunderchild

    Ritchey Force Tire

Anyone remember the Ritchey Force tire. I have been so frustrated as I could not relate one of my luckiest finds that happened about 8 years ago to anyone who cared. Now after finding this list; I think I need to lie down on the couch and talk. Eight years ago I was living and...

    COOLWALL! Was BIOPACE cool?

Anyone remember watching the rear derailleur on your buds biopace who was riding ahead of you. I seem to remember it moving (tightening and slacking) with the biopace. Thunderchild www.urmb.org

why so many bottle mounting bolts ???

Yeah, not sure of the date of co2 cylinders. Retroking #1 jarred my memory though. I worked on a neighbors old Jamis and it had a shoulder strap bolted on near the top of the seat tube for carrying the bike on your shoulder. First time I had ever seen that. Thunderchild

why so many bottle mounting bolts ???

It could have been for a co2 cartridge holder. My Miyata road bike has a similar single bolt, but located in a different location. When I bought it, the shop said it was for the cartridges. :?: Thunderchild

    J P Weigle's

    Chainstay UBrake.. Why??

All I can say is what happened to me. The arms of the V brakes, cantilevers, will not spring back into the tire as the diacompe u brake did if they are released. Not sure if a shimano u brake would do this, but a cantilever, V or disc would not if they released. The v and cantilever also have...
