I finally spent a bit of time on my Manitou comp. The legs were seized. I was able to make the sliders move quite a bit. They are in a better condition than some I have seen. Questions: #1 Will the sliders come all the way off? I have taken off the screws on the bottom of each leg...

It works the other way too. I just put on an XT "9" speed front mech on my all 8-speed drive train and it is shifting better than my old tired 8-speed front mech was. Thunderchild ]-(bar end emoticon)

A borescope or boroscope would work. It would need to be long enough to reach the depths and narrow enough to go through the holes between bike tube sections. i am not saying it would be better than other suggestions. I have used them to look in walls for water damage. THunderchild
