    Judy XC Question

102mm would be no problem. Servicing details below. 8 or 5wt oil. I think I used 5wt in some DHs before as the MCU elastomers have some inherent damping https://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/main.php?g2_path=Manufacturer+Archive/Rock+Shox+Archive/Service/judyxc.pdf.html

    What a NOB!!!

Hi Mark, I used aircraft stripper then got it media blasted before paint. Yep, all tubes are Max barring the seatstays which are 753. I'm not going to give it a hard life...more for XC pootles! Thanks again for the Ballistic...I may attempt a fade job on that but I'm all painted out for now!

    Judy XC Question

Ahh I thought those cartridges were sealed but it looks like you can service them from what you've said and this... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/293905304704?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=dnxGb-nFRKC&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=3EQanSGyRvu&var=592621630991&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY...

    What a NOB!!!

There were a couple of slight dents in the top tube and some chainsuck scuffs. Nowt a blowtorch and some silver braze couldn't sort out!

    Judy XC Question

Yes, there should be a damping unit in those forks as far as I know. IIRC it should be a sealed plastic cartridge. Kits are £27.50 plus £4 postage but if you want 2 kits I can do those for £54 posted

    What a NOB!!!

Sooo....I've been having a bit of 'fun' in the garage learning to silver braze and deal with cadburys pearl paint (which looks 100x better in the sun!) but I'm pretty pleased with how it came out. Now to dig out the box of Record OR/Icarus bits, build the wheels, service the RC36s and put it all...

    Judy XC Question

Looks like someone upgraded to type 2 and then fitted dowels when the elastomers wore out. You'd be better off staying with the type 2 setup and I can supply elastomers to suit. I can supply type 1 but you will need the judy jax spacers which might be a nightmare to source

Bloody lovely! Thank god that's not my size! Spent countless hours drooling over the bikes in Condor as a wee whipper snapper! Looks like it might be a Yates. I think he may have made some frames for Condor but I'm sure someone will confirm or not.

    Risse shock servicing help

They are quite easy to do and you can get all the kit from Risse in the US. I've just serviced a Terminator for someone else's Obed so I can offer the service if required. I use 0.25mm latex sheet in between shaft and clamps to aid in stopping spinning. Also don't clamp on the shaft section near...

Replacement MCUs or solid elastomers for old skool forks

Hi, I think the Mach5s use the standard 19mm diameter MCUs as per the XVerts etc. so that should be no problem. I'd just need to know your weight in kg so I can tailor the elastomer rates for you. Cheers John
