Re: Sitting here scouring google images I've noticed that all the explosif frames have rack mount points in the rear stays and this white ones doesn't.... Flipping heck I'm starting to think it's a rebadged kona frame but anyone know what? Or are there explosifs without rack mounts

May have struck a deal on this frame but as it has been enamelled by Argos Cycles the serial number is covered up..... Can anyone with detailed kona knowledge tell if it's real by looking at it and what year roughly? I think it's an 853 model but could be wrong. Please don't poach it I want it ;)

Re: The 1995 model was steel painted to look like titanium. The colour was even called satin titanium.

Re: Forks are 420mm so not a million miles away and as I say, she rides a treat for my daily hack... Carbon bars and post take away some of the bone shaking ;) I expected a lot worse abuse what with it being a trek klein ha ha

Re: Ah well it rides ok, I measured the suspension it came with and these were the same length so I guess the shocks were too long too....

So I've nearly finished this, just a paintjob and and an xtr chainset to go..... yes yes I know its Trek Klein and only just scrapes into this section due to her age but I really like it and its my daily ride, I want an Attitude really but frames rarely come up. Use carbon bars and Use carbon...
