bottom bracket replacement Peugot Equipe (1984?)

Getting a pair of alloy wheels would be on my list of things to do as well, of they are steel. Better braking and lighter - and inexpensive - no brainer.

What do you chaps wear when riding your retro road bikes?

Decathlon have a few good deals at the minute if anyone is looking for kit. Orange jerseys for 89p if you can catch them in stock - I haven't - yet.

    Another 3 pounds lost

Well done. I don't need to loose weight but I cut out a lot of crap from my diet at the start of the year - made a real difference to my general well being. Had more energy etc. let it slip a little over the last month or so, back on to it again now. Just getting up and eatin breakfast...

bottom bracket replacement Peugot Equipe (1984?)

I'd stick a decent set of calipers and aero levers on it if you're going to use it and aren't too worried about originality - makes a difference. Just having quick release calipers makes it worth it I reckon. Set of old 105s or something.

bottom bracket replacement Peugot Equipe (1984?)

You will need a c spanner to get that ring off. Normal threads on that side iirc. It sounds like this isn't enough friction on the lever, tighten the screw on the lever - should sort it. If its been in storage for a long time I would grease the headset and hubs. The brakes shouldn't be...

I'll have to shoot a few emails out and see what's what I think. See how much it's going to cost.

    lucky dip now with pictures

You really can't go wrong. Finds like this are what keeps me getting up and going to boots. I wonder if the women's one will be small, 52ish cm would be great ;-)

    Decals or no decals

I didn't know that. I'd like to have it in celeste. I would have thought the companies that do a lot of bikes would have celeste?

    Decals or no decals

going to strio down the bianchi next week hopefully and send it out to be powder coated (thoughts on where to get this done in sussex would be great) trouble is I am not sure whether or not to have decals put on or just to leave it. A few people have said to me I might do to have the decals...

    Painting Look pedals

I dont think any kind of finish will last long - and powder coat is prone to chipping. You could perhaps paint them your self and just keep on top of it with touch ups.

Help with a tired old Bianchi - project

Had a few breaks with cash flow so think I am going to have the frame shot blasted and coated - also have it coated internally with one of these frame protection. Any where in west Sussex that I can have this done? Don't want to pay over the odds for it.

    Help with brakes

An option that I am exploring is rebuilding an allenkey style calipers with a nut and bolt, I can't see why it wouldn't work but I haven't quite got round to it yet. I really need to pick up a job lot of old calipers - if you have some old ones you could try.
