The freehub on my Ultegra 6500 rear hub is completely worn out. Am I right in thinking that a 6700 10 speed freehub will be a suitable replacement? As I understand, a 9 speed cassette will work on a 10 speed hub by simply omitting the spacer, but will the freehub be compatible with hub? Thanks...

Same idea, just the 7700 have bolts for an octalink bb. The outer ring with the two indents is what made me think you could remove it. This gives me hope!

Anyone know if it's possible to replace the self-extracting bolts on a Dura-Ace 7700 crank? It looks as though the whole unit would come out, but I haven't seen a replacement part anywhere. Cheers, Alex

I put copper slip on just about everything, and the click is no more. Thanks a lot for your help guys!

No cracks that I can see, although it is a steel frame, and that wouldn't really happen. I suspect that if it isn't the bottom bracket itself, it may be something to do with the bb shell, as the threads aren't in great condition. I'll try the copper slip and see if that fixes it. Also forgot...

rode to a lecture this morning and it was still clicking, but after it being outside in the rain for an hour, it seems to have stopped! Perhaps the rollers on either side of the powerlink weren't lubed enough, so I've added more to them just to be sure. I'll be surprised if it lasts though!
