Thanks for the reply. I managed to get one out of OYB so no need to go rummaging in your shed. Will also invest in some loctite. Thanks!

    Look what I just found....

Can't remember if it was the one under the arches or the one on the corner but both closed down years ago.

    Barrel adjuster spring

Hi Mark, Went for a ride at the weekend and had a few slips on the chain, not sure if it's related but I may as well go for the spring if you still have one. How do I get the money to you?

    Barrel adjuster spring

OK, cool. Thanks for the reply. Chain reaction have the whole adjuster but I didn't really want to spend £3 quid for the sake of a small spring, even though it's not a lot. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=8620

    Barrel adjuster spring

Hi All, Not really a retro question but... I foolishly decided to fit my Avid Rollamajig on the grass and have lost the spring out of he rear mech barrel adjuster, everything seems OK so I'm just wondering if I should stress too much or just replace it in due course? thanks!

Great, thanks! The Sustrans one appealed to me too as a friend has a guest house in Whitby, as good a destination as any.

Stolen bike register on Retrobike ?

Mine was in the same place, behind a security door chained to a railing. Luckily it is my contents insurance which I think it is common sense to have, especially as we were burgled 2 years ago (perhaps we need to move). I'm not sure insurance is a cop out, as you say the memories are gone...

Stolen bike register on Retrobike ?

I'd certainly taken my bike security for granted. I was putting new cranks on only 2 weeks ago and saw the frame no, and thought to myself I must make a note of it. Will take the measures you suggest when the insurance pays up (fingers crossed).
