Help please...what disk brake adaptor do I need?!

IS standard is 51mm bolt to bolt so you just need an IS to PM adapter. Try here http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... -prod13743.

Is it me or are there less people taking up Mountain Biking?

Road cycling is the new golf. Bloke at work just dropped a ridiculous amount of money on new Dura Ace wheels for his Ultegra specced Giant roadie. Bike's 2 months old, at least let the blisters on your arse calcify a bit before dropping that kind of coin. Whatever blows your hair back I suppose.

Budget V brakes worth it or spend more ??

Ha, I do love my old Hopes. They're a bit like a British sports car, they leave a bit of fluid in the driveway and can let you down at the most inopportune moments but when they are working well you wouldn't want anything else. My Shimanos are like a Japanese car, they just work all the time...

Budget V brakes worth it or spend more ??

Not so much the Hopes but my 4 pot XT Shimanos are the very definition of set and forget.

    Ugly San Andreas

That video actually took 3 years to make as the XYZXX forks had to be rebuilt after every jump. The video I'm thinking of is this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJFz9_ONjvo

Re: All's well that ends well I suppose. Local auctions have an NOS FSR DH on sale atm but a US$1000 starting price frame only is too rich for my blood. What did you pay if you don't mind me asking?

Nice work Gazzalodi, clubhouse leader with an impressive quiver of FSRs. Wouldn't mind a few more close-up pics of the DH. What's the story of the stolen one and how did you find a replacement?

I'm sure I'll be set right if my information is incorrect but isn't a standard rear shock overhaul at TF Tuned 95GBP? That's where I'd be going.

Re: Made a few changes to the old anal intruder in the last little while. New 20mm wheel built to accommodate the NOS Super T Pros from the year 2001. 150mm of travel makes the front end pretty slack so at some stage may look at a longer stroke rear shock. And apologies for the giant spacer...

    Shimano XT BB ES-70 68-118

For sale in good used condition is a Shimano BB-ES70 bottom bracket with a shell width of 68mm and a total length of 118mm. Spins smooth with no play. From 2004-2005 it was on a downhill bike before being stored until last year when it went on my XC bike until July. I'm after 22GBP for this...

Yeah, Mountain Speed made one but rare as rocking horse manure. Iirc they were made in the US so you might be able to find one.

Front Mech XT M771 Bottom Swing Direct Mount

I'm sure the ad says this one was a 34.9mm band when I bought it. Oh well nevermind. This is in really nice condition, can't see a mark on it but was sold as used. I'd really love to swap this for an XT M751 bottom swing 34.9mm band front mech or failing that a 760 or 770 series same. Will...

Lots of people put air shocks on the rear but I went with a Fox coil shock. The eye-to-eye is 165mm so plenty of choices in that size. Betd do bearing kits and custom linkage plates which improves the rear end immeasurably. Up front a 100-130 mm fork with disc mounts will make that bike a...

XT M750 front mech, brakes, shifter/levers

Re: XT M750 mechs, brakes, shifters and levers Is the rear mech bought at the same time and/or in generally similar condition to the shifters? Anyway will you do 40 quid plus postage for the shifters and the rear mech, I'll cover the pay pal fees?

Re: XT M750 mechs, brakes, shifters and levers How would you characterize the condition of the XT SL-M750 shifters? They look nice. Any chance of a close-up pic? Willing to ship internationally? I've got a UK address (sister) but if you're willing to send to Japan it's more convenient...
